He discovered a new passion in swimming through Special Olympics, beginning in the shallow end and competing in his first race with assistance from a coach.
Today, Jonah is a two-time CIF Paralympic Finals qualifier, a member of the Heritage swim team, and added water polo during his senior year.
"At first it was tiring, but now I love doing freestyle and backstroke," Jonah said.
According to his coaches, Jonah's positive attitude and enthusiasm make him a cornerstone of the Heritage aquatics program, inspiring teammates and coaches alike.
